SRG JUNIOR SCHOOL OF GOLF

Stuart Runcie Golf runs one of the most successful junior programmes in North Wales, with over 80 junior members attending regular Saturday morning sessions at Abergele Golf Club.

Our structured coaching programme caters for all ages from 5 to 18, with sessions grouped by age to ensure every junior receives coaching appropriate to their ability and development stage.

The programme focuses on fun, fundamentals and development, helping young golfers build confidence, skills and a lifelong love of the game.

Saturday Mornings

SESSION SCHEDULE

Junior coaching sessions run every Saturday morning during the season. Each 45-minute session is structured by age group to ensure appropriate coaching for all levels.

Ages 10 – 13	9:45 – 10:30 AM	£4
Ages 14 – 18	10:30 – 11:15 AM	£4

£4 per session. No booking required — just turn up on the day.

Junior Membership

JOIN ABERGELE GOLF CLUB

Once your junior is hooked, full junior membership at Abergele Golf Club gives them access to the course, competitions and the wider club community. Membership is administered by AGC directly — the club website has the latest fees, application form and joining details.

What age can my child start?

We coach juniors from age 5 upwards. The SRG Junior School of Golf groups are arranged by age and ability so beginners are never out of their depth.

Do juniors need their own clubs?

No — clubs are provided for the junior coaching programme. If your child progresses and gets their own set, we can fit them properly as they grow.

Is Stuart specifically qualified for junior coaching?

Yes — Stuart is TPI Level 2 Junior Coach certified, on top of TPI Level 3 Golf and PGA Fellow Professional status. Junior coaching is a specialist area, not just a smaller version of adult coaching.

How much does junior coaching cost?

See the pricing page for current rates. We run group sessions, one-to-ones and the Newbie Programme. Group rates are deliberately low to keep the game accessible.

How do I sign my child up?
