Conwy Golf Club (Caernarfonshire) is one of the finest links in the country — an Open final-qualifying venue and a genuine championship test. Members there tend to know their game inside out; what they often lack is somewhere close to home that reads the numbers properly. Stuart Runcie Golf is that place.

The drive from central Conwy is 18 minutes. Cross the estuary, join the A55 eastbound at Junction 18, and come off at Junction 24 for Abergele. The studio is a five-minute drive from the slip road.

For a Conwy player, the value tends to sit in three sessions. First, a Trackman 4 driver fit — Conwy's back-nine into the prevailing wind punishes any launch that spins too much, and a properly matched shaft can be worth two clubs into 16 and 17. Second, an iron gapping session — Conwy plays firm and fast for a lot of the year; carry numbers matter more than roll-out. Third, a BodiTrak short-game session — pressure-plate feedback around the greens is unusually useful on links where the ball is more often on the deck than in the air.

The studio holds every major brand: Titleist, TaylorMade, PING, Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno. Fitting fee is £100, refundable in full against any set of clubs ordered on the day.

Stuart is a PGA Fellow Professional — the PGA's highest tier — and one of only four golf professionals in the UK holding the combined TPI Level 3 and Junior Level 2 certification stack. Coaching is grounded in what the numbers show, not what a swing looks like from behind on a phone camera.
