Golf Lessons &
Custom Fitting
for Llandudno Golfers
PGA Fellow Professional, 15 minutes from Llandudno via the A55. Trackman 4, K-Motion 3D and BodiTrak in one studio at Abergele Golf Club — the same tools tour pros use, at proper North Wales rates.
Stuart holds a rare TPI certification stack — one of only 4 golf professionals in the UK with this combination.
A short drive from Llandudno to a proper pro shop.
Llandudno has more golf per resident than almost anywhere else on the North Wales coast. Maesdu and North Wales Golf Club sit either side of the promenade, and Rhos-on-Sea's residential course is a short drive east — three very different tests within a mile of each other. What Llandudno does not have is a full custom-fitting studio, which is why Stuart Runcie Golf regularly coaches and fits players who drive over from LL30.
The drive from central Llandudno is 15 minutes on a clear day. Head south on Vaughan Street, up onto the A470, join the A55 eastbound at Junction 19, and come off at Junction 24 for Abergele. The studio sits inside the golf club, five minutes from the roundabout.
What players from Llandudno tend to book first is a Trackman fitting session. If you have played North Wales GC or Maesdu regularly, you know that a driver that suits a still winter morning is often 10-15 yards short of your best in a coastal breeze. A Trackman-based fit reads launch angle, spin rate and dispersion under controlled conditions, so the shaft and head you leave with actually match your delivery — not what a golf-shop assistant guessed on a mat.
Custom fittings cost £100. The fee refunds in full against any set of clubs ordered on the day, so a proper fit costs nothing when you buy. Titleist, TaylorMade, PING, Callaway, Cobra and Mizuno are all held for demo. The full lesson-plus-fitting session takes about 90 minutes.
For coaching, Stuart's PGA Fellow rank and TPI Level 3 + Junior Level 2 stack lets the studio work with everyone from a Great Orme beginner to a single-figure player prepping for a Maesdu club championship. Junior golfers from Llandudno primary schools have progressed through the programme to county-level representative squads.
The same tools tour pros train on.
Three technologies working together — ball flight, biomechanics and ground force. Numbers, not guesswork.
Trackman 4
Dual-radar launch monitoring. Reads ball speed, spin, launch angle, club path and face angle at impact — every ball.
K-Motion 3D
Full-body biomechanics capture. Maps pelvis, thorax and lead-arm sequencing so the swing gets fixed, not just the impact.
BodiTrak
Pressure plate ground-force analysis. Shows where your weight sits and moves through the swing — critical for consistent strike.
Golfers travel to Abergele from every club near Llandudno.
Three studios, one location.
Lessons, fitting and junior programmes — all delivered on the same equipment tour pros train on.
