The studio

North Wales' most complete coaching & fitting studio.

Stuart Runcie Golf is based at Abergele Golf Club, one exit off Junction 24 of the A55. That puts the studio inside a 45-minute drive of most of North Wales — 15 minutes from Llandudno, 18 from Conwy, 25 from Denbigh, 40 from Bangor, and under an hour from Caernarfon and Anglesey.

The studio runs the same three-tool stack tour professionals train on. Trackman 4 dual-radar reads every launch parameter — ball speed, spin, launch angle, club path, face angle at impact. K-Motion 3D maps how your pelvis, thorax and lead arm move through the swing. BodiTrak pressure plates show where your ground force sits at every phase. Together they replace guesswork with numbers.

Stuart is a PGA Fellow Professional — the PGA's highest tier — and one of only four golf professionals in the UK holding a combined TPI Level 3 (adult performance) and Junior Level 2 (youth development) certification stack. That combination lets the studio coach a single family — parent and child — with a coherent method rather than two disconnected approaches.

The pro shop stocks and fits every major brand: Titleist, TaylorMade, PING, Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno. The £100 fitting fee is refundable in full against any set of clubs ordered on the day, so a proper fit costs nothing when you buy. The shop trades seven days a week and same-week booking is usually possible outside peak season.

North Wales golf has always been about the courses — Conwy, Maesdu, Bull Bay, Aberdovey, Nefyn. This is the studio behind them. Whether you are a beginner in Llandudno booking a first lesson, a single-figure player from Bangor wanting to shape a fade, or a junior from Anglesey building a swing from scratch, the same evidence-first coaching applies.

The tech stack

The same tools tour pros train on.

Three technologies working together — ball flight, biomechanics and ground force. Numbers, not guesswork.

Trackman 4

Dual-radar launch monitoring. Reads ball speed, spin, launch angle, club path and face angle at impact — every ball.

K-Motion 3D

Full-body biomechanics capture. Maps pelvis, thorax and lead-arm sequencing so the swing gets fixed, not just the impact.

BodiTrak

Pressure plate ground-force analysis. Shows where your weight sits and moves through the swing — critical for consistent strike.
